Scott has over 20 years experience in
strategic planning, marketing, operations management and
sales management, the last 10 of which were at the executive
of two leading financial services organization. Scott’s
focus has been in the areas of sales and marketing.
Scott’s professional career has
included a variety of senior management positions with CI
Mutual Funds, CIBC and American Express. At CI Funds Scott
was the senior executive responsible for all Marketing and
Customer service functions. Scott also played a key role
in the acquisition and integration of Spectrum, Sunlife’s
and a number of other fund businesses into CI. At CIBC Scott
was the senior business executive on their VISA card business
which was, and still is, the largest card business in Canada.
During his time with CIBC Scott doubled the profit of the
Merchant business and launched the CIBC Dividend VISA Card
which today is one of CIBC’s strongest card products.
While at American Express Scott lead the marketing of both
the merchant and corporate card business.
As a consultant Scott provides expertise
in marketing and strategy evaluation and development. He
works with senior executives to offer perspective and insight
in the fundamentally important areas of business development
(innovation and creativity) and leading people to superior
levels of contribution. His work evaluates dynamics, support
systems and competencies to drive transformation.
Scott attended the University of Toronto
where he graduated “With Distinction”. He is
also currently doing post graduate work in the business
faculty at Queens University in Kingston.
Scott is married and lives in Toronto
with his wife and two little girls aged two and four.
